San Gabriel Valley Tribune spotlights “Pride in the Foothills”

The San Gabriel Valley Tribune wrote an article about Glendora’s inaugural Pride event, “Pride in the Foothills,” being held at Gladstone Park on Friday, June 24th.

Reporter Anissa Rivera spoke to a few Glendora Forward event organizers, and event partners Manish Patel of Doghaus and Angel Hermosillo, CEO of Grit & Gratitude Fitness about what this events means for the community:

“My wife Britney Rojas and I have been residents of Glendora since 2016,” Hermosillo said. “Pride Month is meant to highlight the importance of community, acceptance and equality. Once I was made aware of the picnic, I knew I had to be a part of it! Living in Glendora these past few years, we have truly fallen in love with our city. Now, knowing that they are hosting a Pride event, we feel that love reciprocated. It makes me happy knowing that I can live authentically in my own city; that there is love and acceptance in this town we are proud to call home.”
